Meet Our Team

What motivated us to research this topic was our mutual interest in the impact of social media. Merging components of our diverse background, our team was eager to take on a project to explore how digital platforms have allowed small businesses to expand. Read more about us below!

Priscilla Tenggara is a first year Business Economics major double minoring in Anthropology and Management. Her interest in learning about new trends attracted her to this opportunity to gain more insight about patterns in the digital culture. Combining her pursuit in business and fascination for social emergences, Priscilla enjoys learning about content creation, social media analytics, and brand management.

Nicole Askander is a fourth year Public Health Science major. Her interest includes developing health care programs and using social media as a tool to expand public knowledge on preventative health concerns. Delving into this research, Nicole hopes to build a foundation of social media knowledge before taking on future projects using social media.

Reta Bidi is a fourth year Biological Science major. Being an active user of social media, naturally she was curious about how online platforms have shifted the strategies of new businesses. Though Reta focuses her studies in biology, she grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. She hopes to use this research to help her family grow their ventures through the means of social media marketing.

Belle Tseng is a third year double major in Art History and Anthropology. In the future, she plans to combine her studies in anthropology with her interest in education improvement. Using social media, Belle believes the power of mass communication can create a huge impact in the world of education. Upon graduation, Belle hopes to move back to Asia to continue improving educational systems in Asian communities.
